KTU School of Foreign Languages offers education to 981 undergraduates and 200 graduates. 72 are recruited in the institution. Of these, 64 are English, 8 are German(5), French(2) and Russian(1) lecturers.

  The School of Foreign Languages has three subdivisions; Translation and Interpretation, School of Basic English and School of Modern Languages.

  KTU School of Foreign Languages offers English Preparatory classes to students from various branches. Those who have not succeeded in the proficiency test administered by the department are to attend a 1 year prep programme in the U-shaped classes of 20-25. Making use of up-to-date technologies, students attend an interactive programme. Students are offered courses from speaking to listening, reading to writing in addition to translation and professional English. Advocating a student-centered approach, the programme aims at facilitating and promoting a good-quality education.
